From Sarah:
I competed in the Patriot's sprint tri this sunday in Bath, PA. I had a great race finishing 1st women overall. I had a great swim (650m in 11:47) and was the first women out of the water. I had a pretty good bike (15 miles in 42:56) but was caught and entered transition with the 2nd place women. I have to buy a new bike. My road bike is pretty heavy and is hard to compete with women on these lite tri bikes and aerodynamic helmets. They probably laugh at my ride. Anyway, we left transition out on the run together. I stayed behind her for the first 1/2 mile to get her pace. Then I passed and was able to finish the run first to the finish line (3.1 miles in 21:09). I was pleased with this run, because it is usually my weak leg of the tri. Total time was 1:17.47. I had a nice cheering section for this event. It is about 20 minutes from my home.
